I bought it used and they called it a "natural finish" but I consider it unfinished wood. I touched up the sanding and oiled it. Very pretty wood color. Used condition, but in great shape. Comes with slats but NO MATTRESS. Also has a desk, not pictured, that can go under the bed. We can give you a chair, too. I can remove the curtain rod we added for "privacy" in the "secret hide out" and fill the small screw holes with wood filler. The one light spot you see on the large nook is just museum putty and I think I will get that all of with no mark (can let you know before you make a trip to look at it).
