LONG VERSION:
I'm a 2 1/2 year old white leather couch. Although I've been part of the family for the past 2+ years, I've only been included in their lives during the past 5 months on a regular basis. I am a second couch in our home...one day they went out to buy a new couch and they just couldn't decided between me and my purple velvet buddy...so they bought us both. My purple buddy went into the living room and I went into the "other" room. And there I sat, lonely and ignored, next to never being sat upon. Occassionly the neighbor's dog would come over and visit, running silly all over the house and jumping up on me, then off, then on again. Thanks to him I have a few light scuffs/scratches from his big paws to prove that someone gave me attention. Oh, and then there are the cats, but they don't really count because they next to never snuggled up on me...they purr-fur the sunny window ledges or the middle of the kitchen floor. And there I lived a solitary life until this summer. Alas! Lo and behold,one sunny afternoon in June I heard the words that would change me life: "Let's switch the couches"....the next thing I knew I was living large....in the living room...I was in the HOT spot and the sour grape was in my old NOT spot! Sadly and unfortunately it was all short lived. It was decided and agreed upon that "less was more" and that, among other things, one couch had to go. Although it was a split decision on which one of us was more attractive, more comfortable and/or more durable, it was a mutual decision that it was hard to decide which one would be sold, and the only fair and square thing to do was to draw straws. I'll give you one guess on who drew the shortest straw!! So now you know how I came to be on Craigslist. I'm looking for a new home and am quite positive that there's a home looking for the likes of me. I'm not perfect nor flawless, but I'm close! I'm in great shape and fairly young for my age, I'm comfy, attractive and well worth 30,000 pennies.
