Text: Hi, selling a 1983 Westfalia Vanagon with only 78k Miles original miles. Have carfax report in hand to confirm the true low miles. Please read the below info. and photos are at the below link. The #1 cylinder/piston on this Westy is bad so the motor needs work or another motor installed. I also have a 1982 Vanagon GL that has a perfect running motor you can swap into the Westy and that is part of this package deal. The Westy is a 4 speed air cooled van. Good shape inside and out. Many new parts including Clutch, tires, brakes and a ton of other large & small items. Brand new battery also. Have all paperwork and titles for both vans. Over $5k of parts with very low miles on them. Will be a nice reliable van when the motor is fixed. Westy is white with brown interior. My mechanic offered my $1500 for the Westy alone so make me a cash offer above $1500 and both vans are your. I Drove the Westy to the Mechanic but will need to be towed since the head and other parts are off when the mechanic was searching for the problem. The 82 Vanagon gl has an excellent running motor with all accessories. The 82 needs to be towed also since the transmission has issues and was removed. I will include the 82 4 speed transmission in the deal also. Was popping out of 1st gear. Other than the popping out of 1st. gear the transmission out of the 82/GL is in good running conditinon. Please e-mail me asap with any interest. Will sell to my Mechanic if I dont get any better offers in the near future. So, to summarize. 1 1983 Westfalia Full Camper with only 78k Original Miles that needs motor work & 1 1982 Vanagon GL (130k Miles) with Good Motor. Both vans are in towable condition. Best Offer above $1500 for both vans. The good 82 motor and good 4 speed transmission core alone are worth over $1k and I could sell the Westy for parts and get another few thousand.
